What is AVID?
AVID provides leadership skills, exposure to colleges, community involvement, and positive and fun peer interaction. It's a group of students who care about their goal of going to college and are willing to go the extra mile for success.
History
Foothill has been AVID certified since 2002. Our program has grown to include over 170 students. We have 5 amazing teachers - Mrs. Bordisso, Ms. Jim, Mr. Guest, Ms. Kelly, and Mrs. Mendoza. We have 7 sections of the AVID elective class and an AVID club with 40 active members.
Requirements
Students need to come to meetings on Fridays to room C-8 and participate in activities, fundraisers, and recruiting.

STUDENTS WILL REPRESENT CALIFORNIA AND OUT OF STATE COLLEGES /UNIVERSITIES AT
THE CC, CSU AND UC LEVELS AS WELL AS PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES. COME VISIT THE
FAIR WITH YOUR STUDENTS, ASK QUESTIONS OF OUR STUDENT COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVES
AND VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE TABLE on 3/25/20 in the BIG GYM at FHS.

25th 7:30 am-11:15 am.
PRIZES WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VISITORS AND
QUESTIONNAIRES WILL BE GIVEN TO TEACHERS IN ADVANCE SO THEIR STUDENT VISITORS
CAN FIND ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS AS THEY ROAM THE FAIR.
