Congresswoman Doris Matsui, PG&E's Senior Vice President Greg Pruett and Twin Rivers Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Steven Martinez toured the New Energy Academy at Foothill High School with Principal Brian Welborn and Academy Coordinator David Yeroshek. Local media were present to interview students and record the entire event for posterity.

California Students to Receive Education in "Green Energy"

CDE and PGE Help Make Students Career and College Ready

SAN FRANCISCO — The California Department of Education (CDE) and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PGE) are laying the groundwork for a new "green energy" academy pilot program. The New Energy Academy, launched today, is designed to provide energy career education for students who might otherwise not have the opportunity. CaliforniaALL (CalALL), a non-profit committed to enhancing the success of California's students, has also supported development of the Academy.
