The Foothill Academy—Careers in Information Technology (FACIT) is an intensive and rigorous program preparing students for careers in the ever expanding field of technology, computers and systems applications of all types. The mission of the Academy staff is to actively engage students in all academic pursuits in order to prepare them for one of three career pathways: University or College degree preparation, Career Technical Education, or entry level job placement.

Students participate in job shadowing, academic and personal mentoring as well as paid internships and Regional Occupation Program credit while enrolled over a three year course of study. Additionally, it is the Academy staff’s goal to help students develop valuable soft-skills in the areas of work ethic, interpersonal relations, interviewing, resume and cover letter writing as well as public speaking.
