On behalf of the staff at Foothill High School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Foothill High School. We look forward to building a relationship with your student and with you!

 

As there are so many new changes, the district and our schools are working diligently to create systems that will ensure students start the year successfully from a distance.  As always, learning is top priority.

 

This will be an exceptional year full of learning and growth as we embrace the new distance-learning model. Please know that school and learning from a distance will look very different from what you may have experienced last spring. Students will be held accountable for logging in and participating in their classes according to the provided bell schedule. Students will be required to earn their grades through both synchronous and asynchronous schoolwork.

 

Our rigorous academic programs and enrichment options will continue, as they are a source of pride— from Advanced Placement (AP) courses, to dual enrollment college courses, to Career Technical Education (CTE) and extracurricular activities. In fact, this year our incoming freshmen will all have the ability to take dual enrollment college courses as part of their regular high school schedule, thus enabling them to graduate with not only their high school diploma but also an AA degree (equal to two years of full-time college credit). We are delighted to provide the PSAT, SAT, and AP single subject test for AP enrolled students free of charge for the fourth consecutive school year. It is our goal that all students graduate college and career ready.
